ACM Lifting Lives<\/a> has announced Miranda Lambert\u2019s<\/strong> <\/a>MuttNation Foundation as its January ‘My Cause\u2019 web feature. The monthly series brings awareness to artist-supported charitable organizations. It also supports fundraising efforts for those organizations. This month\u2019s My Cause: Muttnation Foundation focuses on Miranda\u2019s organization, whose purpose is to build animal shelters for better care, increase pet adoption, encourage responsible pet ownership, rehabilitate sick or unsocialized animals, fund spay\/neuter programs, reduce euthanasia of healthy animals and train shelter dogs for therapy programs, assistance for wounded military personnel and dogs-in-prisons programs.<\/p>\n

In addition to being featured as January\u2019s My Cause, Miranda has announced her 5th<\/sup> Annual Cause for the Paws concert which also benefits MuttNation Foundation. The concert will take place on June 22 in Beaumont, Texas at Ford Park. Special guests include Wade Bowen<\/strong> and The Josh Abbott Band<\/strong>. Tickets go on sale Friday, April 27 at 10 a.m. and are available at the Ford Park Box Office, online at www.ticketmaster.com<\/a> and by phone at 800-745-3000<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m thrilled to say that in the past four years we have been able to contribute over $700,000 dollars to abused, abandoned, neglected or unwanted animals,\u201d Bev Lambert, Director of MuttNation, said. \u201cWe plan on doing even more outreach in 2012. One exciting partnership that we have entered into in this past year is with the Red Star Emergency Relief Service to assist in disaster relief for animals displaced or abandoned as well as the rebuilding of shelters harmed or destroyed. The most exciting thing is that we are partnering with them to bring home our military service dogs from the recent war relief. The service animals are currently being retrained to provide service to the wounded warriors and as therapy pets for their families.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are so excited about the next chapter in our lives at MuttNation Foundation in aiding and assisting animals in need,\u201d Miranda\u2019s manager Marion Kraft said. \u201cAfter four years in East Texas we found ourselves in need of hosting the benefit concert in a bigger venue. Beaumont, Texas reached out with open arms to help us with our mission. Aside from music, this is Miranda’s biggest passion in life and those of you who can attend the show are sure to have a time you won’t forget!\u201d<\/p>\n

At last year\u2019s ACM Awards<\/a>, ACM Lifting Lives encouraged artists to speak on camera about the causes they support. My Causes allows ACM Lifting Lives to demonstrate the Academy\u2019s support of country artists. Over the past two years, ACM Lifting Lives has donated more than $45,000 to artists\u2019 favorite charities and will again make donations.<\/p>\n

ACM Lifting Lives is the philanthropic arm of the Academy of Country Music, dedicated to improving lives through music. Each year, the organization provides grants to music therapy and music education programs. It also supports members of the country music community facing unexpected medical or financial hardship.
