Country music is invading Paris. The Country Music Association will hold the first International Country Music Marketing Summit at Disneyland Paris on March 1. The summit is part of the association\u2019s mission to help expand the format around the world.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith immediate and convenient access to Country Music, the world market is fertile ground for our industry and artists,\u201d Steve Moore, Chief Executive Officer of CMA, said. \u201cCountry artists are selling out major venues; our CMA Songwriter Series is returning to the U.K. and Ireland in February; and new events like the ‘C2C: Country to Country’ Country Music festival at the O2 Arena in London in March are a strong indication of the burgeoning popularity of the music and the need for this type of educational platform across the world.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe CMA International Country Music Marketing Summit is the most recent example of CMA\u2019s enhanced interest and outreach in the international marketplace,\u201d Sheri Warnke, CMA Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications, said. \u201cCMA is making a focused commitment to increasing awareness of the music and developing international business opportunities for our constituents.\u201d<\/p>\n

The summit will include panels, research presentations, and opportunities to network with Country Music industry representatives. Content presented will be important information for anyone in the entertainment industry with an interest looking to understand the Country fan and learn more about the rapidly growing tour and festival scene outside the U.S.<\/p>\n

The highlight of the event will be the CMA Songwriter Series at Billy Bob\u2019s in Disneyland Paris featuring Wynonna<\/a>, Sugarland\u2019s<\/a> Kristian Bush<\/strong> and songwriters Brett James<\/strong> and Dallas Davidson<\/strong><\/a>. Songwriter Hall of Fame member Bob DiPiero<\/strong> <\/a>will serve as host.<\/p>\n
