Randy Houser<\/strong><\/a> is having a great week. His current single, \u201cHow Country Feels,\u201d is at No. 1 on the country charts and today, January 22, his third studio album by the same name hits stores. \u201cHow Country Feels\u201d was also the first song played on Nash FM 94, New York City\u2019s first country radio station in 17 years which launched Monday morning.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe really weren\u2019t greedy on this record,\u201d Randy said. \u201cThe album begins with the song my buddy Dallas Davidson wrote, \u2018Runnin\u2019 Outta Moonlight\u2019, and 15 tracks later it ends with the most personal song I\u2019ve ever written, \u2018Route 3 Box 250D.\u2019\u00a0 It means a lot to me to have this many songs on one record to share with the fans.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

How Country Feels<\/em> was produced by Randy\u2019s longtime friend Derek George who also comes from Randy\u2019s home state of Mississippi. Derek producing the record allowed Randy to make good on a promise he made to Derek long ago.<\/p>\n

\u201cI told Derek when I first moved to town that if I ever had the chance to achieve a little bit of success, I\u2019d make sure he produced one of my records,\u201d Randy said. \u201cHaving him on this project gave me the freedom to truly express who I am as both an artist and a person. Derek just \u2018gets\u2019 me, and he understands where I come from. He was able to bring to life all of my musical inspirations on one record\u2026 and I think my vision has never come across more accurately than it has on How Country Feels<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

In support of the album, Randy will make a number of national television appearances over the next few weeks. He will join Dierks Bentley<\/strong><\/a> and Miranda Lambert<\/strong><\/a> on their Locked and Reloaded Tour beginning April 18 in Syracuse, New York.
